long lit up tonight and still drinking, don't we have anything to live for?
well of course we do, but 'til they come true, we're drinking
and we're still smoking, don't we have anything to live for?
well of course we do, but 'til they come true, we're smoking
we all want to know what nobody knows
what the nights of wine and roses hold
for the wine and roses of our souls
so we down our drinks in a funnel of friends
and we burn our blends right down to the ends
we don't cry for those nights to arrive
we yell like hell to the heavens
we all want to know what nobody knows
what the nights of wine and roses hold
for the wine and roses of our souls
so we down our drinks in a funnel of friends
and we burn our blends right down to the ends
we don't cry for those nights to arrive
we yell like hell to the heavens

I’ve known of STRFKR since around the time this album was originally released (2012 or 2013, most likely). That said, it’s taken me until now (February 10, 2023) to listen to STRFKR. And allow me to say this is something I somewhat regret. This album reminds me a lot of MGMT’s “Oracular Spectacular” but less polished. There’s an earnestness to these songs that is undeniable, and it’s a helluva lot of fun. If electro rock is your cup of tea, bring an empty cup; STRFKR’s gonna make sure it’s full. Kirk Gauthier
